| The Open University of Catalonia is a benchmark on-line university in Catalonia that was created to facilitate training throughout life. Their educational model, despite using the Internet (you study where and when you want) is based on personalized, quality teaching and avant-garde technology. We started to work with the OUC in 2003. And we decided to show the value of what makes this university’s students special: in addition to considerable willpower (because it’s not easy to work and study at the same time) they have excellent technological qualifications, which are put to the test while they are studying. And how could we show this graphically? We decided to create an icon to define OUC students and the special attributes that set them apart. Then, we wrote headlines in which the students themselves explained their reasons for continuing their education at the OUC and their specific circumstances. Since then, the number of students registered at the OUC is growing each year. |
